The governance structure of the IMPULSE project is depicted below:
The IMPULSE project has two governing bodies: the General Assembly (the ultimate decision-making body of the consortium) and the Executive Board (the supervisory body for the execution of the project).
These governing bodies liaise with the IMPULSE Project Coordinator Bahne Stechmann and the Project Management Team (PMT), situated at the EU-OPENSCREEN central office. Decisions made by the governing bodies are transmitted via the Project Coordinator and PMT to the leaders of all work packages. The Project Coordinator also liaises between the project and the European Commission.
IMPULSE is further advised by the following external bodies:
Mirko Ancillotti is a researcher at the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics, Uppsala University, Sweden, and at the Department of Philosophy, Linguistics & Theory of Science, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has a background in philosophy and earned his PhD in medical sciences from Uppsala University in 2021. His research focuses on public health and applied ethics, with specific interests in antimicrobial resistance, health preference research, consumer behaviour, and genetic testing. Between 2021 and 2024, he contributed to the ethical aspects of the EU projects ENLIGHTENme and OncoLogics. As Ethics Advisor, he brings expertise in ethical governance and research ethics to support responsible and sustainable research practices.
