FASS: Fast and Accurate Solubility for Sustainability

Funding programme: HORIZON-EIC-2023-TRANSITIONOPEN-01

Duration: 2.5 years (June 2024- December 2026)

The FASS project is centred around a disruptive technology to measure compounds solubility based on second harmonic scattering. It saves more than 90% of cost, time, consumables and energy, and saves 80% of compound material compared to the gold standard HPLC. It combines rapid throughput and high sensitivity making it ideal for measuring large sets of small molecules.

The main objectives of this project are:

  1. Development of a TRL 6 instrument prototype.
  2. Validation of the value proposition to develop a customer base.
  3. Translation of the original research into a viable product with a go-to-market strategy.
  4.  Identification of new value adding applications.
