CZ-OPENSCREEN Announces New Call for User Project Support

Our partners at CZ-OPENSCREEN, the National Infrastructure for Chemical Biology, have officially opened their latest Call for User Projects. The initiative supports academic researchers seeking to apply chemical biology approaches to advance basic research or accelerate early-stage drug discovery. CZ-OPENSCREEN aims to help researchers identify novel molecular probes and develop advanced tools to study chemical compounds as potential candidates for therapeutic development.

What CZ-OPENSCREEN Offers

Selected projects gain access to state-of-the-art biological assays, chemical synthesis capabilities, and advanced robotic screening platforms:

High-Throughput Screening (HTS) & Chemical Biology:

  • High-throughput screening of extensive compound collections.
  • Biochemical and cell-based assays run on automated robotic platforms.
  • Access to a library of more than 200,000 compounds.
  • Access to approximately 100 normal and tumor cell lines.

Chemical Synthesis & Compound Optimization:

  • Re-synthesis of identified HTS hits and known compounds.
  • Purification and full characterization of compounds.
  • Synthesis of new analogues alongside structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies.
  • Professional support for intellectual property (IP) protection.

Call Timeline

  • Call Opening: 15 October 2026
  • Application Deadline: 15 November 2026
  • Results Announcement: 15 December 2026
